Projects

I was born in West End, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia … fast forward to 2006 - for fun I coordinated my first Art Show and sold 20 pieces of my amateur work. It was an overwhelming experience and that’s when I decided to coordinate more art shows - but only with other amateur artists who have not had the opportunity to display their work.

In 2011, I gathered Brisbane’s Emerging Artists who donated their work to raise money for flood victims. Not only were guests lucky enough to purchase inexpensive gorgeous art, over $5000 was raised! In 2013, I approached QAHC (Healthy Communities) to coordinate another Fund Raising Art Show as they lost most of their funding and raised over $5300.

In between, I held various themed successful Art Shows, including PRIDE 2012 where 250 people including Councillor Vicki Howard (who opened the show) attended opening night and also for ASCA who help people, families and communities, affected by childhood trauma.

The brief for this exhibition was to create art using mostly BLACK and WHITE with a hint of COLOUR.

PRIDE The Artshow

This Art Show will show case artwork by some of Brisbane’s talented amateur artists and through their art portray emotions and experiences they have had in the GLBTI community.

This Art Show is a collaboration of Brisbane life portrayed in the form of Art. Nine artists have come together to interpret life as it is in Brisbane.
